JAMAICA LACROSSE

Although most people know the small island of Jamaica for its beautiful beaches, fast sprinters, and famous winter bobsled team, many are unaware about Jamaicans' love for lacrosse. Several years ago, the JLA began an initiative to support high school lacrosse programs for student-athletes and created a Men’s and Women’s National Team. The national teams have brought fantastic awareness about the sport of lacrosse to Jamaicans. In July 2023, the Jamaican Men’s team shocked the lacrosse world by going undefeated in their pool at the World Lacrosse Men’s Championships and making it to the quarterfinals.
